In a continual effort to drive national growth and achieve operational excellence, East Coast Wings & Grill, the North Carolina-based casual dine restaurant with a focus on buffalo wings, announces the enlistment of the professional services of BDO USA for all ancillary tax services and advisement.

Positioning our brand with top tier advisors reiterates our place as a visionary company in the restaurant franchise industry,” says Sam Ballas, CEO of East Coast Wings & Grill. “We beat the drum of unit level economics in driving the bottom line, allocating assets, and building an entire division approach. It is prudent we have the best advice in the marketplace to continue to expand our scope.”

BDO USA will be responsible for all tax advisements, tax preparations, Franchise Disclosure Document audit, and unit level cost segregation analysis. The accounting and consulting company will also have a position on East Coast Wings & Grill’s advisory team for growth and development.

BDO is very proud to work with East Coast Wings & Grill, now one of our marquee clients in the franchising industry. This assignment underscores our deep commitment to the sector and to helping innovative franchisors with compelling visions like East Coast Wings assess and capitalize on their growth objectives,” says Jay Duke, Southwest assurance regional managing partner and leader of the franchise practice at BDO USA.

With 26 locations open and operating throughout North Carolina and Texas, East Coast Wings is on track to grow the roster to 30 units by the end of 2013. The casual dining restaurant has signed agreements to add over 80 new restaurants over the next five years, including development plans in Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, Florida, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.

East Coast Wings & Grill is in the top quartile, if not the best, in assuring the system wide philosophy on driving unit level economics remains at the top of the agenda,” says Dan Collins, senior vice president of brand development. “Enhancements, made at the corporate level, like the enlistment of BDO’s professional services and advisement, will ultimately influence the continued success of the brand at the franchise unit level.”
