Entrepreneurs Michael and Melissa Newton will celebrate the grand opening of South Bend, Indiana’s new Einstein Bros. Bagels location at 2019 South Bend Ave., north of Campus Shoppes, with a food giveaway on January 22.
Einstein Bros. Bagels will present the first 100 people in line with coupons valid for one free Breakfast Sandwich a week for one year.
“This giveaway is a great way to showcase our breakfast and lunch sandwiches to the local community,” says Michael Newton, who has more than 13 years of restaurant experience. “We are excited to offer a restaurant that will impress new and longtime Einstein Bros. Bagels fans with fresh menu options and a comfortable dining atmosphere.”
The restaurant is conveniently situated near the University of Notre Dame and features free WiFi Internet and bottomless coffee for all customers to enjoy.
To receive the coupons, the first 100 people in line must be at least 18 years old and have a valid photo ID. Those who qualify will be awarded a coupon book good for one Breakfast Sandwich per week for a year, equating to 52 sandwiches. Coupons are valid until January 22, 2012, and must be redeemed only at the 2019 South Bend Ave. restaurant.
In addition to the giveaway, Einstein Bros. Bagels is sending coupons to local residents, making available to them various offers for bagels, sandwiches, and coffee.
The local workforce also will be able to take advantage of the free offers and the restaurant’s menu items through its extensive catering options. From hot breakfast for the group and Darn Good Coffee to Go, to lunch boxes with the brand’s signature sandwiches, nearby businesses can call Einstein Bros. Bagels for same-day delivery or a meal at a later date.

The restaurant will open for the giveaway at 5:30 a.m., but fans are encouraged to arrive early. Regular store hours are 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
“The opening of the new South Bend location confirms that demand for our brand is building,” O’Neill says. “We want to be the fastest growing fast-casual restaurant chain in America, and we are increasing our focus on expansion through franchising.”
