El Pollo Loco Does BBQ Chicken

El Pollo Loco announced today the debut of its new limited time Barbecue Chicken and two new BBQ Chicken entrees: the BBQ Ranch Chicken Tostada Salad and BBQ Chicken Quesadilla. The new Barbecue Chicken builds on the popularity of past limited time favorites, including Tequila Lime, Chile Orange, Chile Lime, and Lemon Pepper.

Available in both individual and family meals through September 4, the dish was designed to pair well with El Pollo Loco’s wide assortment of sides, tortillas, and salsas. The company’s traditional flame-grilled chicken is also available. Guests can mix the two varieties, traditional and BBQ, in their order if they choose.

The new BBQ Ranch Chicken Tostada Salad combines a flame-grilled chicken breast with Romaine lettuce, BBQ Black Beans, corn poblano, tortilla strips, freshly chopped cilantro, Cotija cheese, Ranch dressing, and El Pollo Loco’s new barbecue sauce—all in a crisp tortilla shell.

El Pollo Loco’s new Barbecue Chicken Grilled Quesadilla combines a blend of flame-grilled chicken with melted Jack and Cheddar cheeses, corn poblano, freshly chopped cilantro and El Pollo Loco’s BBQ sauce in a large flour tortilla.

El Pollo Loco will market its new Barbecue Chicken and BBQ chicken entrees to consumers through a multimedia campaign that begins today and includes general market and Spanish-language television spots that will appear in select West Coast markets. In addition to television and radio advertising, a wide mix of point-of-purchase vehicles will be used, including roof banners, translites, window clings and drive-thru communication.
