Evernote announced that its new Evernote Food App for iPhone and iPod touch is now available in the App Store.
The app allows individuals to easily save and relive all of their favorite meals and food experiences, ranging from fine dining to home cooking to travel and exploration.
Evernote Food focuses on capturing all aspects of a meal as they happen using photography, location, text, and photo captioning. A single meal in Evernote Food can contain as many photos, notes, tags, and captions as a person wishes. When a meal is viewed, it automatically displays any notes created in other Evernote products around the same time as the meal, giving additional context to the food experience.
All the information about the meal is automatically synchronized with the Evernote Service, making it easy to find later within Evernote Food, as well as everywhere Evernote is installed.
"Many of our most important life experiences happen during a meal. More than just the food on the plate, it's the conversations we have, the places we go and the people we're with. Remembering that whole experience is what Evernote Food is all about," says Phil Libin, CEO of Evernote.
"Creating this app was a real pleasure because it brings together our passion for memory and our obsession with food. We can't wait to hear what our users think of the latest addition to the Evernote family."
