EVOS is opening its newest location in Carrollwood in Tampa, Florida. The fast-casual restaurant offers simple, natural American favorites with an earth-friendly attitude and “greater good” conscience.

EVOS grand-opening festivities begin on Tuesday, July 16, with a charity event dedicated to the neighborhood Bob Sierra Family YMCA. The restaurant will open its doors from 5 to 8 p.m. for YMCA members, staff, and supporters, who will enjoy a sneak peek tasting of its healthier all-American favorites, compliments of EVOS. All donations made throughout the evening will directly benefit the YMCA’s Annual Community Support Campaign.

“We are excited about our partnership with the Bob Sierra Family YMCA,” says EVOS cofounder Michael Jeffers. “Our missions are very similar in that we both promote a healthy lifestyle on all levels. We welcome the opportunity to treat their members and supporters to a healthier meal that will leave them feeling great.”

A grand-opening ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted in conjunction with the Carrollwood Area Business Association is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m. EVOS will then officially open for business at 11 a.m.

“We’re extremely proud to bring the residents and businesses of Carrollwood a healthier and natural dining option that’s casual and leaves you feeling great,” Jeffers says. “With American favorites, such as our shakes and salads made with fresh certified local organic ingredients and burgers of hormone-free, grass-fed beef, our customers experience wonderful flavor and feel great, too.”

Famous for its Original Airfries, EVOS uses an Airbaking technique to seal in flavor without the extra grease that comes with deep-frying. The result is 60 percent less fat and calories.

Other popular menu items include fresh hand-tossed salads, gourmet wraps, AirbakedChicken Strips and Wild Atlantic Salmon burgers, and homemade organic milkshakes and fruit shakes. Also available are organic and fair-trade teas that benefit third-world producers.

Jeffers says the restaurant’s new design embraces the elements of nature and continues with its industry-leading use of eco-friendly and sustainable materials, such as recycled wood panels, zero VOC (volatile organic compounds) paints, and various other natural raw materials. Further, the company continues to offset 50 percent of its energy usage with renewable wind energy.

“Careful attention has been given to the selection of sustainable materials for all interior finishes, in addition to sourcing and selecting Made-in-America products such as furniture, fixtures, materials, and equipment.” Jeffers says. “This is who we are. We want our customers to relax, enjoy healthier food in a setting that is respectful to them and the world around them. EVOS simply represents what consumers expect from a business today.”
