EVOS customers will find a lot of “free” items on the menu as they try this new, healthier brand of fast food. Food that is free from trans-fat. Beef that is hormone and antibiotic-free. And during the upcoming grand opening weekend, many people will find their first meal free.

EVOS is distributing thousands of random invitations for a free meal on July 11and July 12, during the grand opening weekend for the new Chapel Hill restaurant. The invitations are being sent via direct mail and will also be handed out around the community.

The first EVOS restaurant in North Carolina is set to open in the Eastgate Shopping Center in Chapel Hill on July 11.

Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, EVOS offers a full menu of burgers, fries, and shakes that have 50-70 percent less fat and calories without sacrificing taste. EVOS meats and Airfries are cooked in specialty ovens rather than greasy grills or deep-fryers. This process allows customers to enjoy fries with 50-70 percent less fat. EVOS uses naturally raised, free-range beef and organic ingredients.

“We think EVOS will be a perfect fit for Chapel Hill. People will finally be able to enjoy a burger, fries, and shake without all the aftereffects and guilt,” says Rakesh Sethi, owner of the new Chapel Hill franchise.

How does EVOS’ menu compare to traditional fast food fare? EVOS’ American Champion burger contains only 12 grams of fat, 420 calories, and zero cholesterol. Compare that to other fast food burgers that can deliver as much as 57 grams of fat and 850 calories, and loads of cholesterol. A regular serving of EVOS fries contains 8 grams of fat and 230 calories, compared to other traditional fast food fries that can contain 23 grams of fat and 472 calories. EVOS’ Organic Vanilla milkshakes have only 2.5 grams of fat and 180 calories, while traditional fast food shakes contain as much as 44 grams of fat and almost 800 calories.

“EVOS is fast food evolved,” Sethi says. “We’re offering much healthier versions of burgers, fries, and shakes.” Also on the menu are a variety of other healthier options, including wraps and salads.

SKS Healthy Foods is a master developer of EVOS franchises and has agreed to build a minimum of 21 EVOS locations in North Carolina and metro Atlanta in the next five years.

The Chapel Hill restaurant is located at 1800 E. Franklin Street, suite 26 in the Eastgate Shopping Center.
