Famous Dave's Procures New Director

David Erickson has joined Famous Dave's of America, Inc. (Nasdaq: DAVE) as Director of Business Development. In this new position, Erickson will develop Famous Dave's franchising program in addition to researching business opportunities, locate venues for increased distribution, and establish viable new outlets for Famous Dave's award-winning food products. From stadiums, parks and entertainment venues, to beaches, ball games and malls, Erickson will be looking at possible venues for potential Famous Dave's sites.

David Erickson comes to Famous Dave's of America from Rainforest Cafe, Inc. where he held a similar position as Director of Real Estate. He oversaw new store development and assisted with the development franchise component. Erickson had been with Rainforest Cafe since 1997. Prior to his tenure with Rainforest Cafe, Erickson was with Don Pablo's where he was Director of Real Estate Development for two years. Previously, he worked for such entities as Hollywood Video, and consulted on business development for several national retail chains.

Famous Dave's of America, Inc. develops, owns and operates barbecue restaurants and blues clubs. The company, currently with 28 locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Maryland, Virginia, and Nebraska plans to open another six units in the year 2000.
