Entrepreneurs and brothers Robbie and Jeff Sosna signed a multiunit franchise deal to open 10 Freshii restaurants in Los Angeles.

The fast-casual concept is known for its modern, hip vibe and convenient, healthy, and delicious meals and snacks. There are 16 units in Chicago and Toronto, several new restaurants under construction, and an additional 200 units in varying stages of development in Washington, D.C.; Denver, Colorado; Orange County, California; Houston, Texas; Manhattan, New York; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and internationally in Canada, Austria, and Dubai.

The Sosna brothers plan to open their Los Angeles stores in Westwood, Studio City, Pasadena, Burbank, Glendale, Culver, Farmers Market, and the Miracle Mile, and they aim to open their first location by mid-2010.

After working in the entertainment business since graduating from college, Robbie recognized that he and his colleagues had few quick, fresh food options, and they were often left to pick off the craft table or bring in expensive catering. He moved to Los Angeles to start his own fresh-food concept with his brother Jeff.

“In the process of doing my research I came across Freshii and its founder Matthew Corrin, and after seeing so many similarities between us and being impressed with how much Matthew had accomplished in such a short period of time, I was excited to join Freshii at such an exciting stage of its growth and expand it to Los Angeles,” Robbie says.

“We have an exciting window of opportunity to capture great real estate opportunities as a result of the economic challenges other brands in our target size have faced in California over the last few years,” Freshii founder and CEO Matthew Corrin says. “By combining savvy entrepreneurs in Jeff and Robbie with attractive real estate opportunities, I am confident Freshii will quickly become a staple for Angelino’s as we ramp up aggressively in SoCal.”
