Fatburger, the all-American, Hollywood burger franchise, has opened its first location in the United Arab Emirates’ second largest city, Abu Dhabi. The better-burger restaurant was brought by Vetra Investments, a hospitality and food service specialist based in Dubai, to Abu Dhabi. The investment company currently operates 10 other Fatburger units in such cities as Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Amman, Jordan, and Beirut, Lebanon.

Known for serving made-to-order burgers, Fatburger has expanded its footprint significantly in United Arab Emirates, with Abu Dhabi being its eighth location to date. In addition to its growth in United Arab Emirates, the 62-year-old brand also recently opened restaurants in Istanbul, Turkey and Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia. The fast casual burger chain currently operates in 29 countries with approximately half of its locations based overseas. Focused on global expansion, Fatburger continues to concentrate on widening its worldwide presence with over 300 new units in development in such regions as the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and North Africa.

We have had a great response to Fatburger’s presence in United Arab Emirates and are pleased to have the opportunity to open our first unit in Abu Dhabi,” says CEO of Fatburger, Andy Wiederhorn. “We are sure that this location will be a great success and are proud to serve the residents of United Arab Emirates’ bustling capital city.”
