Fog Cutter Capital Group Inc.'s Fatburger restaurant unit supported Sugar Ray Leonard's third annual charity boxing night to benefit the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation.
The May 22 “Big Fighters, Big Cause” event, held on the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California, raised funds for awareness and research towards a cure for Juvenile Diabetes. The evening featured special performances and a fight card commissioned by the California State Athletic Commission and USA Boxing featuring amateur and professional heavyweight bouts.
Numerous sports and entertainment celebrities were on hand to lend their support including George Lopez, Holly Robinson Peete, Sugar Shane Mosley, Mario Lopez, Courtney Mazza, Dave Winfield, Ray Mancini, Jimmy Jam, Michael King, and singer Toni Braxton, who performed the National Anthem.
Fatburger contributed its mobile food truck, the Fatmobile, to the evenings cause. In between boxing matches, guests were treated to their choice of Fatburgers, TurkeyBurgers, and VeggieBurgers.
