Fazoli's Celebrates Moms

May 13 is Mother's Day, the one time in the year when kids and husbands around the world show their appreciation to the person who holds it all together. For the second year in a row, Fazoli's is getting in on the celebration. In each participating market, the Italian restaurant chain is crowning one lucky mom Fazoli's Mother of the Year.

The prize: to sit down and let someone else cook, with free meals from Fazoli's for a year.

Details on the second annual Fazoli's Mother of the Year promotion can be found at facebook.com/fazolis. Those looking for a way to honor mom should become a fan and then write what makes their mom so special on the entry page.

Everyone who enters will have the chance to send their mom an e-mail sharing what they wrote. On May 11, Fazoli's will select one mom in each participating market to receive free meals at Fazoli's for a year – a prize that definitely trumps chocolates and flowers. Deadline to enter is May 4, 2012.

Cathy Hull, chief marketing officer for Fazoli's, believes Moms deserve to be celebrated. "Our moms take care of us 365 days a year, year after year," says Hull.

"That's why we wanted to continue the tradition of honoring mom with a prize that will allow her to sit down and enjoy a quality meal with her family each month for a year."

Fazoli's is expanding in select markets throughout the country. Founded in Lexington, Ky. in 1989, Sun Capital Partners acquired Fazoli's in 2006.
