Find Your Rhythm with Tin Drum's 10th Anniversary Promo

Tin Drum Asiacafé celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a “Be the Beat of the Street” contest that will award a grand-prize winner with $1,000 and the title “10th Anniversary Tin Drummer.”

Mike Rizzi, drummer for Ed Roland and The Sweet Tea Project, kicks off the contest by challenging Tin Drum fans to show off their drumming skills using chopsticks. To enter, fans can upload a video on Vine or Instagram with the hashtag #tindrummer. On its actual anniversary, October 15, Tin Drum will feature all contest entries on its Facebook page to let fans vote for the best video and reward daily winners with 10 free meals. Of those daily winners, Tin Drum will select one grand-prize winner on October 28.

“Our continued growth over the last 10 years wouldn’t be possible without the support of our customers,” says Steven Chan, CEO and founder of Tin Drum Asiacafé. “This contest provides the opportunity to honor the legacy of the Tin Drummer, which is the name behind Tin Drum, and a chance for our fans to celebrate our anniversary.”

Tin Drum was inspired by the legend of the “Tin Drummer.” He would gather residents of ancient villages into the colorful cafés that lined the sidewalks for meals, entertaining them with his drum and engaging in lively conversation. This spirit is alive in all Tin Drum locations along with the bold flavors found on the streets of Chan’s native Hong Kong.

A Georgia Tech graduate and restaurant entrepreneur, Steven Chan saw the opportunity to blend Asian flavors with the growing demand for fast and healthy options. Chan opened his first Tin Drum at his alma mater’s Midtown campus in 2003. Tin Drum has become one of the fastest growing Pan Asian dining concepts, with 12 Southeastern locations. The café features more than 28 items made fresh-to-order with Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Indian influences and 15 signature sauces. Earning a spot in The Atlantan’s “Toque Trends” and as QSR’s “One to Watch,” this fast-casual chain has become a frontrunner in the restaurant scene throughout the Southeast.
