SOLOS Pizza Café Franchising is proud to announce it will open its fourth location and first franchise in the Twin Cities.

We are really excited to open our first franchise and to further expanding SOLOS presence in the Twin Cities area and beyond,” says Brian Banick, president of SOLOS Pizza Café. “We’ve had such a positive response at our current locations and are excited to see the SOLOS concept catching on with customers and entrepreneurs. We look forward to working with our first franchisee and to finding additional owners.”

SOLOS Pizza Café Franchising is currently working to secure additional franchise locations in the Twin Cities and eventually, across the nation.

Brian Banick and Bruce Thomson are the partners behind the SOLOS Pizza Café which opened in 2007 and currently has three locations in the Twin Cities metro: Maple Grove, Plymouth, and Eagan. Thomson has earned his own entrepreneurial fame having started several popular companies including: ProEx Photo and Archiver’s scrapbooking superstores.

Through his experience, Thomson found the best business ideas include offerings that are researched, tested, and researched some more. He saw the rising trend in fast casual dining and an opportunity to bring a new concept to the arena. "I saw it working at Chipotle, Panera, and Noodles, and I thought it could work for individual pizza," Thomson says.

SOLOS Pizza Café is a fast casual pizza restaurant. The term “fast casual” signifies higher quality food that is still served quickly in an attractive atmosphere. It is also the fastest growing segment of the restaurant industry ballooning to a $31-billion segment since Chipotle began changing the fast food game 20 years ago.

The fast-casual concept is really taking off right now,” Banick says. “We’re excited to be one of the first and to offer potential franchisees the SOLOS business model which fits perfectly into this exploding restaurant sector.”

Using innovative oven technology—combined with an award-winning menu, SOLOS produces a pizza crust customers can top with a long list of toppings, like peppadew peppers, southwest chipotle pesto, and smoked bacon to name a few. Customers watch as their individual SOLOS pizza is handmade right before their eyes and then baked piping hot in under three minutes. SOLOS award-winning menu also offers customer requested calorie conscience options like salads and SO LO calorie pizzas, which are less than 500 calories and served on a whole grain crust.
