It’s almost here! Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers fans across the nation are gearing up for National Frozen Custard Day; the official day each year dedicated to celebrating the taste that is Freddy’s premium frozen custard. Starting Thursday July 25, Freddy’s will pay tribute to frozen custard by asking America to vote for their favorite Freddy’s custard creation by texting “freddys” to 72727 and following the prompts.

Visitors to Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will notice they are able to choose from all types of Freddy’s creamy frozen custard treats; everything from a classic vanilla cake cone to the Signature Turtle Concrete. Voting ends on Wednesday, August 7 and America’s Favorite Frozen Custard Treat will be announced on National Frozen Custard Day, Thursday, August 8.

I’m looking forward to the competition this year,” says COO Scott Redler. “Helping America discover just how delicious frozen custard is has been a goal of ours from the start. We are very fortunate to have developed loyal fans that have become as passionate about Freddy’s frozen custard as we are.”

In the U.S., frozen custard can be traced to Coney Island, New York, and was introduced to the Midwest at the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago. Frozen custard resembles ice cream but is richer and creamier thanks to a time-tested churning process that minimizes ice crystals and excess air.
