Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is pleased to announce Pat Sardo has joined its team as director of construction.

With 27 Freddy’s store openings projected for the remainder of 2012 and development agreements for more than 300 stores signed, site evaluation, new construction, ongoing maintenance, and equipment upgrades are becoming a focus that demands full-time attention.

To this point, the functions have fallen under the duties of COO Scott Redler and Director of Purchasing Jon Simon.

“Pat comes to us highly recommended by her former employer for her dedication to the company and great working relationships,” Redler says. “We are committed to providing a strong network of support to our franchise community as we grow. Pat is going to fill some very important functions in our office and we are excited to include her in our growth plan.”

Sardo began her 14-year tenure with LodgeWorks, a Wichita-based hotel company operating several concepts nationwide, in the director of operational programs and procurement position.

LodgeWorks recently sold its hotel properties to the Hyatt Corporation and Sardo declined an opportunity to work in a similar capacity with Hyatt in Chicago, preferring to remain in Wichita. Although she has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in marketing from Central Michigan University, Sardo has long considered Wichita home.

“I am thrilled with the opportunity to join the Freddy’s family,” Sardo says. “During the last two years at LodgeWorks, we opened 16 new properties. I am well suited for the pace of growth Freddy’s is experiencing and believe I will add value to their already stellar team as well as the franchisees fueling their amazing growth.”
