Only a decade has passed since Freddy's first location opened in August of 2002. Now, the quick-service restaurant that specializes in cooked-to-order steakburgers and premium frozen custard treats, will open the doors of its ninth company-owned and 75th nationwide location in Olathe, Kansas.

The company's namesake, Freddy Simon, will join in the opening day festivities on Wednesday, October 10, and greet guests from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

"With each restaurant opening, we are filled with the excitement and energy that ignites our team as we meet deadlines and witness the culmination of the thousands of details that go into our construction projects to insure that each guest's visit to Freddy's is a hospitable, enjoyable, and satisfying experience," says Freddy's president Bill Simon.

"Kansas City-area residents have welcomed Freddy's enthusiastically over the last two years," he adds. "We appreciate their support and look forward to providing another location for you to gather with friends and family to share a meal and celebrate life's events for years to come."

Freddy's first entered the Kansas City metro area in 2010 with the store in Overland Park. A second location opened shortly after that near Liberty. Several additional locations are planned for the area in the future.

First franchised in 2004, Freddy's has restaurants across 10 states and has sold the franchise development rights for several hundred more locations.

"The growth is exciting and humbling," says COO Scott Redler. "Our goals are centered on high-quality food served hot and fresh by a hospitable staff. Our guests affirm that these values are important to them with each visit for cooked-to-order steakburgers, piping-hot shoestring fries, or one of our specialty custard desserts. No matter how many stores we open, our commitment will be to quality menu offerings, sparkling-clean restaurants, and a world-class team."
