Freddy's Crowns America's Favorite Frozen Custard Treat
During this election year, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has been celebrating National Frozen Custard Day with a campaign to crown America’s favorite frozen custard treat.
Throughout the last couple of weeks, thousands of frozen custard fans from all over the country voted via Facebook, text message, and Twitter.
The winner is Freddy’s Signature Turtle Sundae and, in a tight race, the Chocolate Brownie Delight came in a close second.
“Our daily decisions are driven by the feedback of our guests and we genuinely appreciate their time and energy,” says Bill Simon, Freddy’s CEO. “The turtle sundae is delicious and, while we know it is our most frequently-ordered custard treat, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of enthusiasm our guests displayed when indicating their favorite item. The competition over the last couple weeks has been a lot of fun and a light-hearted take on the election-year races.”
In addition to the Signature Turtle and Chocolate Brownie Delight, Freddy’s guests can enjoy three other specialty frozen custard treats: Dirt N’ Worms, Peanut-Butter Cup & Banana, and Hawaiian Delight.
Many Freddy’s guests also enjoy developing their own favorite frozen custard sundaes and concretes with the more than 30 different toppings available. National Frozen Custard Day is celebrated annually on August 8.
