FREEBIRDS World Burrito, the fast-casual burrito joint with the rock ‘n’ roll attitude, announced new Monster Nachos: $8.95 for chicken, steak, or carnitas, available for a limited time.

Monster Nachos are an extension of the FREEBIRDS Monster Burrito and can feed two people.

Monster Nachos start with a large portion of house made chips topped with black or pinto beans, queso, and choice of grass-fed beef, hormone-free chicken, or all natural slow roasted carnitas, then custom built with more than 40 freshly prepared ingredients such as roasted corn salsa, home made guacamole, grilled jalapenos, and barbecue sauce, to name a few. Monster Nachos are served in a 100 percent biodegradable container made from sustainable bamboo and corn.

“We’re paying homage to the original FREEBIRDS in Santa Barbara, California, where friends sharing late night nachos is a sport of choice with college students,” says vice president of operations Peter Gaudreau.

Now through December 2, FREEBIRDS is also offering its Facebook Fans $1 off New Monster Nachos and a chance to win two tickets to the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic in Arlington, Texas, on January 6, 2012. Prize includes airfare, lodging, and meals.
