Concessions International (CI) continues to introduce Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) travelers to the flavors of Atlanta. On November 25, Marietta, Georgia–based Gabriel’s Restaurant & Bakery will open its first airport location with its wide selection of Southern treats along with salads, soups, sandwiches, and wraps. Gabriel’s will be operated by a joint venture between CI and H&H Hospitality, an Atlanta ACDBE company.

Located in Concourse B, next to Gate 30, the Gabriel’s kiosk will be part of renovations of the food and beverage venues on Concourse B to be completed in early 2014. The B Concourse will feature ten new restaurants, including seven Atlanta-based concepts, part of CI’s vision to bring local and unique restaurants to major airports.

“Gabriel’s is one of the secrets of the South,” says CI chief executive, Donata Russell Major. “We are so pleased to introduce this amazing brand to the world and provide a sense of place to our home airport.”

Gabriel’s Restaurants and Bakery will join other Atlanta-area concepts, LottaFrutta, Fresh to Order (f2o), Paschal’s: a Southern Tradition, and Proof of the Pudding in the newly renovated Concourse B terminal.

Chosen “Best of Atlanta” seven times by Atlanta magazine, Gabriel’s has been called “The Little Shop of Wonders.” Travelers can choose from a full menu of Gabriel’s treats, including muffins and coffee cake to start the day, and a variety of salads, sandwiches, wraps to satisfy for lunch and dinner. Travelers can also choose from a wide range of sweet treats, including classic southern pound cake, cupcakes, and whoopie pies.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our little brand,” says Johnnie Gabriel. “We can’t wait to treat the millions of travelers at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.”
