Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a Denver-based fast casual restaurant concept featuring fresh and healthy Mediterranean cuisine, announces the grand opening of its Denver West location. Opening Friday, December 7, 2012, at 14740 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood, Colorado 80202, the new restaurant is the company’s 16th to open in Colorado and the 18th nationwide.

Garbanzo Grand Opening Set for Denver West Location
The newest Garbanzo joins existing company- and franchisee-owned locations throughout the country. In Colorado, Garbanzo now has 10 Denver-metro restaurants, three locations in Colorado Springs, one in Boulder, and one in Fort Collins. The concept is opening other company-owned locations in Columbia and College Park, Maryland in January 2013. Recently opened franchise restaurants include one in San Antonio, Texas and one in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
“We have had our sights set on opening in the Denver West community for some time now,” explains Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president, and CEO. “With an ideal location near major shopping centers and business parks, we are excited to provide those who live and work in the area with a convenient, healthy, and fresh Mediterranean option. We cannot wait to open the doors to the newest Garbanzo restaurant in Denver.”
On the eve of the grand opening, the new location is holding a fundraiser dinner for Denver CASA, a nonprofit that recruits, trains, and supports volunteers to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Denver Juvenile Courts. The public is invited to attend the fundraiser Thursday, December 6, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. for a $5.00 suggested donation. On grand opening day, Friday, December 7, guests have the opportunity to win free Garbanzo menu items and other prizes, including Garbanzo tote bags, T-shirts, and gift cards.
Following the grand opening, Garbanzo Denver West is holding several giveaways all month long – from an electronic reader to a bicycle.
Garbanzo offers guests a variety of authentic Mediterranean items with an emphasis on flavor, freshness and quality, as well as a healthy trans-fat free menu. Guests have the ability to customize every meal with items such as pita, laffa, falafel, shwarma, hummus, seasoned rice, sauces, and dressings. All Garbanzo salads and sauces are prepared on-site daily, and the pita are made from scratch throughout the day in every restaurant. Additionally, several ingredients are bought locally and some are imported directly from the Mediterranean region.
