Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a Colorado-based fast-casual restaurant concept featuring healthy Mediterranean cuisine, announced the grand opening of its first Orange County, California, franchise location on Wednesday, May 29.

The new restaurant is the Mediterranean concept’s 22nd location and the fifth franchise store to open thus far. It is owned and operated by Garbanzo franchisee Banzo Bean, which has the rights to develop up to 10 locations in Orange County west of I-5.

“We are thrilled to bring Garbanzo to the West Coast and the people of Orange County in partnership with Banzo Bean, Inc.,” says Bob Bafundo, Garbanzo vice president of company and franchise operations. “California’s climate and active lifestyle go hand-in-hand with our fresh food and healthy philosophy. We look forward to Garbanzo quickly becoming a fast-casual favorite in the Aliso Viejo community.”

Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president, and CEO, says, “As Garbanzo expands across the country, I am honored to be able to share our distinctive menu with more and more people. Our authentic recipes, nutritious entrees, and fresh ingredients help us stand out in the crowd and keep our guests coming back day after day. We cannot wait to spread the Garbanzo experience to other communities throughout the U.S.”
