Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill opens its first Arizona location Sunday, November 24, in Phoenix at 21001 North Tatum Blvd. in the Desert Ridge Marketplace.
The newest Garbanzo restaurant is the Mediterranean concept’s 27th location and the ninth franchise store. It is owned and operated by franchise partner GMG Arizona, which has the rights to develop up to 20 Garbanzo restaurants in the Phoenix area. The group is also considering locations in Tucson, Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, and Tempe, Arizona.
“The energy and excitement of the GMG Arizona group is outstanding and will certainly help endear Garbanzo to the Phoenix marketplace,” says Bob Bafundo, Garbanzo vice president of company and franchise operations. “We are excited to offer Valley of the Sun residents a healthy and fresh take on made-from-scratch fast-casual Mediterranean fair.”
Garbanzo offers guests a variety of Mediterranean items with an emphasis on flavor and quality, as well as a healthy, trans-fat-free menu. Guests have the ability to customize every meal with items such as pita, laffa, falafel, shwarma, hummus, seasoned rice, sauces, and dressings. All Garbanzo salads and sauces are prepared daily, and the pita are made throughout the day in every restaurant. Additionally, several ingredients are bought locally and some are imported directly from the Mediterranean region.
