Genghis Grill is opening a new location in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, its first restaurant in the state. The location will offer residents a chance to “build your own bowl” to their liking. It also opens 45 new jobs to the market.

The Winston-Salem site will be located at the intersection of Hanes Mall Boulevard and Silas Creek Parkway, in the former Blockbuster location. Winston-Salem fans can look forward to the grand-opening by mid-October. Genghis Grill will also be expanding into the Charlotte and Greenville, North Carolina, areas by late 2010 or early 2011.

Local resident Chris McAuley, whose family has lived in the area for 13 years, looks forward to bringing a fresh, new concept to North Carolina. McAuley is the managing partner of HC Investment Holdings, LLC, a private equity investment company with a focus on restaurant and real estate development. Genghis Grill represents the company’s first investment in North Carolina with commitments to expand throughout the Triad, whose three major cities are Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point.
