Georgia Barberitos Turns One, Gives Back in Return
Email this storyRead More About
The Barberitos in Macon, Georgia, celebrated its one-year anniversary on March 5.
In honor of its first year in business, the store donated all of its daily sales on March 5 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
Owners Philip and Martin Kohnen have made it a priority to have a continuously ongoing relationship with the MDA. The Macon and Milledgeville locations, both owned by the Kohnens, participate in MDA events a few times every year.
In fact, Barberitos supported the “J Walkers” in “Make a Muscle,” the annual Macon MDA Muscle Walk at the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds on March 9.
This is part of Barberitos’ “Bigger than a Burrito” campaign, which highlights stores’ community involvement and philanthropic events.
