This February, Giardino Gourmet Salads, the fast casual salad concept of South Florida, introduces grain bowls to its menu of signature salads, garden wraps, and boccata sandwiches. Grain Bowls combine warm quinoa, brown rice, or jasmine rice with a variety of premium toppings and dressings.

“In our efforts to instill nutritional empowerment in our guests, grain bowls offer a balanced meal of grains, proteins, and vegetables,” says Ody Lugo, founder and head of menu innovation. “We are thrilled to continue diversifying our menu and providing an alternative to salads that also serves as a great dinner entrée.”

Giardino developed three combinations, also known as Gardener Chef Picks:

·         The Gardener – with avocado, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, and dried cranberries over quinoa with olive vinaigrette

·         La Fiesta – with roasted chicken, corn, black beans, red onions, and tomatoes over brown rice with sour guacamole dressing

·         Wok – with shrimp, carrots, peas, red cabbage, and bean sprouts over jasmine rice with spicy peanut dressing

Guests can try a My Way Bowl that can be customized using any of the toppings available or any of the signature salad combinations on the menu. The grain bowl combinations may also be ordered in a wrap. In addition, a scoop of grains can be added to any salad as a topping.

Grain bowls will be available at all Giardino locations by the end of February for dine-in or delivery. Giardino Gourmet Salads has locations throughout South Florida, including: Blue Lagoon, Brickell, Coral Gables, Doral, Downtown Miami, Kendall, Miramar, South Miami, and coming soon to Miami Lakes.
