Gold Star Chili, The Flavor of Cincinnati and Official Chili of the Cincinnati Bengals, announces a special promotion and partnership with the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation to support children’s causes in the Greater Cincinnati area. From October 14 through November 25, proceeds from the purchase of Gold Star Chili Cincinnati-style 3, 4, and 5-ways will be donated to the Foundation.

Andy Dalton, all pro quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, established The Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation, a non-profit organization, in 2011. The primary focus of the foundation is to provide seriously ill and physically challenged children throughout Greater Cincinnati with daily support and life changing experiences. The foundation’s goal is to have touched the lives of more than 50,000 children by 2014. The Foundation currently is engaged with four major initiatives:

The Hub will be housed in both the in-patient wings and out-patient wings of Cincinnati-area children’s hospitals. The Hub will provide patients and their families with access to entertainment and educational resources (iPads, PCs, mobile TVs/Theater Systems, mobile game systems, etc.) during their hospital stay and recovery time.

The Date Night program will provide 100 families of severely, chronically ill or special-needs children with a much needed break where parents can focus on strengthening their marriage. On a Monday evening, parents would be invited to drop their children off at the Hilton Downtown for a safe and secure evening hosted by Andy & Jordan. The evenings' activities will include both music and entertainment, face painting, Wii gaming, a photography booth, an ice cream sundae bar, cookie decorating stations, etc. Parents will then participate in an all-expense-paid private dinner date night downtown.

The King for a Day program will provide families of severely/chronically ill-children or special-needs children with an all-expense-paid dream day at Kings Island Theme Park. Attendees will spend the day feeling like a king with their free Fast Lane Passes, snack vouchers, and Andy Dalton t-shirts. At lunch time, all guests will be invited to join Andy & Jordan in Kings Island’s Private Picnic area.

The Pass it On program provides medical equipment to families with severely/chronically ill-children or special-needs children who are financially in-need. The purpose of this program is to be a financial hand-up while strengthening the ability of these families to care for themselves, enhance their stability and security; while improving their quality of life.

“As the Official Chili of the Cincinnati Bengals as well as for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, the partnership with the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation is a natural fit,” says Charlie Howard, vice president of marketing & brand development for Gold Star Chili. “There is great synergy between our two organizations with the mutual goal of providing assistance to Greater Cincinnati kids and their families at a time when they need it the most.”

The 3, 4, & 5-Way promotion is just one of several ways that Gold Star Chili is supporting the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation. Life-size cutouts of Andy Dalton used to promote the partnership Gold Star restaurants will be collected and given to the foundation to raffle off as a fund-raiser. Additionally, the Gold Star Chilimobile, in partnership with the Christian Moerlein Brewing Company’s Hudepohl 14-k brand, will be serving food and drinks at several Cincinnati Bengals tailgates hosted by Jordan Dalton at Paul Brown Stadium before Bengals home games.
