Golden Tiger Pounces on a New Website for Asian Products
It may have been Jean Lee’s father who first opened the popular Chinese Deli in Chinatown back in 1963, but it was Jean Lee’s menu of Asian specialties that eventually became the first “Chinese fast-food concept” in America.
The model Lee created has evolved into what’s now an extensive line of authentic Dim Sum under the brand Golden Tiger. To promote the brand, the most advanced online site for Asian products in the country has just been launched.
“Jean’s menu became so popular that she began a manufacturing facility to be able to provide her delicious foods to other restaurants and supermarkets on a larger scale,” says Carrie Foster, Windsor Foods’ Asian product manager.
“Windsor Foods acquired the Golden Tiger brand, but never lost sight of her vision of offering deliciously authentic Asian foods,” she adds. “The new website is a reflection of that commitment, offering information on the broad line of Asian products that are available nationwide and important tools that help Foodservice operators be successful.”
Three important tools are most notable within the new website, says director of marketing Brad Kumin.
“The profit calculator is an easy tool for determining the menu price of any of our Golden Tigerproducts based on the case price and any other components of a plated menu item,” Kumin says.
“Because Golden Tiger is one of Windsor Foods’ brands, an operator can also download a similar profit-calculator app for their smartphone from the iTunes App Store and similar stores for Android phones,” he adds. “Simply search for the Windsor Foods Profit Calculator. The app is free and is the first free profit-calculator app available free of charge for smartphones. ”
Operators visiting Golden Tiger’s website can also register to receive the latest discount coupons that are regularly made available for GoldenTiger products. The option enables any operator who purchases Golden Tiger products to save additional money throughout the year.
The website encourages operators to ask questions about culinary or operational challenges they may be experiencing from Golden Tiger executive chef Sam Blando. Chef Blando can recommend new menu options, help operators with questions about kitchen preparation, and recommend easy and profitable side dishes or sauces for an Asian menu.
The website provides a comprehensive overview of all of Golden Tiger’s products and enables users to download marketing tools and professional photography of plated products for their menus, as well as recipes for easy-to-prepare dipping sauces and complementary side items for operations offering a Asian cuisine or menu item.
Golden Tiger offers a comprehensive line of easy-to-prepare and serve Asian delights, including: Egg Rolls, Spring Rolls, Potstickers, Cha Su Bao, Siew Mai, and Rangoon.
Windsor Foods is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of fully prepared menu items for foodservice. In addition to Golden Tiger, Windsor Foods offers Fred’s For Starters appetizers, POSADA for authentic Mexican menu items, The Original Chili Bowl, Bernardi Italian food products, and Whitey’s gourmet chili.
