Situations involving police can be very stressful for small children. A&W Restaurants hopes their “Great Root Bears” can be a comfort. The company recently donated 30 teddy bears to a sheriff’s department neighboring their Farmington Hills, Michigan world headquarters.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard’s “Bears on Patrol” program will have deputies distribute the cuddly bears as needed by area children.

A&W was founded in 1919. It’s “All-American Menu” can be found in its 1,000 domestic restaurants nationwide, and 180 international units across 14 countries.
