Great Wraps Rolls Into Boston with Three-Unit Agreement

Great Wraps, an Atlanta-based fast-casual chain with 75 locations across the U.S., will expand into Boston with new franchise partner Fred Gamble. Gamble's commitment to develop three locations, all of which will feature Great Wraps’ new hoodless and fryer-less café operation, extends the brand's efforts to reach customers at high-traffic retail centers, office buildings, and universities.

"The team at Great Wraps could not be happier to welcome Mr. Gamble and his local knowledge of Boston," says Mark Kaplan, chairman and CEO at Great Wraps Inc. "Our brand new design incorporates everything the hungry diner in Boston is seeking—massive flavor, an on-trend environment, and chef-created recipes unique to our brand. And once our guests discover we are roasting vegetables and cooking meats without the use of fryers, grease, and microwaves, they can't believe that quality this good could come from such a healthy and environmentally friendly method of cooking."

"I looked into numerous franchises, food and otherwise, and found none as committed, engaged and supportive as the team at Great Wraps,” Gamble says. “The innovative menu caught my initial interest, but it was the enthusiasm and attitudes of the people I met at their offices in Atlanta that made the difference."

The three Great Wraps restaurants, which are targeted for development in the Fenway and Boston University region of the city, are slated to open over the next three years. Efforts to find highly visible locations that appeal to the busy lunch crowd, as well as students at the nearby universities, are already underway.
