Saladworks announced that Lorrie’s Salad is available in all locations. Lorrie’s Salad is a base of the freshest mixed lettuce leaves topped with toasted almonds, avocado slices, feta cheese chunks, roasted turkey breast, and crunchy pita chips finished with a fresh Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing.

Lorrie Nixon of Covina, California, created the salad, the second of three winners of the franchise’s “Create-Your-Own Powerhouse Salad” contest. Winners received a $500 gift card and the opportunity to have their salad creation sold in stores as a seasonal salad.

“When I was creating my salad I was thinking about the Mediterranean in the summer, and I came up with feta cheese and pita chips,” Nixon says. “I added avocado, a California staple, and just mixed all the things that I love together.”

“Out of the several thousand entries we received, an overwhelming majority included avocados. Avocados are packed with over 20 nutrients and essential fatty acids, which promote shiny hair and bright skin. Packed with vitamin E, avocados can even help protect your skin from UV damage,” says John Scardapane, Saladworks’ founder and CEO. “Lorrie’s Salad had a winning nutritional balance and flavor sensation, making it the best choice for our summer seasonal salad. We’re sure it will be a new fan favorite.”

Lorrie’s Salad will be available from July 12 to August 30.
