To Help Shrink Waistlines, Fazoli's Shrinks its Dishes

Just in time for the New Year, Fazoli’s is introducing four new Mini Bakes, all with 400 calories or less.

Three Cheese Baked Ravioli, Hearty Tortellini and Bacon, Mushroom Chicken Alfredo, and Penne Tuscano headline Fazoli’s line-up of New Year’s specials, all designed to help Americans watch their waistlines and wallets. Priced at $3.99, Mini Bakes will be available for a limited time.

“Even though they are only 400 calories, Mini Bakes are satisfying and filling,” says Cathy Hull, chief marketing officer. “Add a Fazoli’s side salad with fat-free dressing and a sugar-free drink, and you have a complete, freshly made meal that is less than 500 calories.”

Mini Bakes are available at all Fazoli’s nationwide. In many communities, Fazoli’s Breadstick Brigades are hitting the streets and handing out mini-coupons offering more than $20 in savings, including free side salads and free kids meals.

Fazoli’s, a Parents magazine top-10 fast-casual restaurant, also is included on Men’s Health magazine’s Healthiest Restaurant Meals in America list.

“Fazoli’s focus is on helping families return to real food,” Hull says. “Just because it’s January and you are cutting calories or trying to save money doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice taste.”

The Three Cheese Baked Ravioli is cheese-filled ravioli covered in creamy Marinara sauce, topped with Provolone and Mozzarella Cheeses. The Hearty Tortellini and Bacon includes cheese-filled tortellini in spicy Marinara sauce, topped with bacon, beef crumbles, and Provolone and Mozzarella cheeses. The Mushroom Chicken Alfredo includes bowtie pasta in Alfredo sauce, topped with grilled chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, and Provolone and Mozzarella cheeses. And the Penne Tuscano includes whole wheat penne in creamy Marinara sauce, topped with grilled chicken, peppers and onions, black olives, and Provolone, Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses.
