Hexagon Hospitality founders Mitch Kahn and Wade Vandegrift announced a partnership with The Hummus & Pita Co. on their new Union Square location opening on May 8. Hexagon Hospitality will also be a capital partner as it pursues opportunities both in and out of New York in the coming years for 10 new locations of the Mediterranean fast-casual brand on the rise. The Hummus & Pita Co. and Hexagon Hospitality are currently negotiating leases for new locations in Midtown in addition to exploring opportunities in South Florida and the Boston area.

"The Hummus & Pita Co. is an extremely well-executed concept. We believe that owners Janice Axelrod and her sons, David Pesso and Steve Pesso, have the potential to scale coast to coast as demand among for consumers for wholesome, fresh Mediterranean-inspired food continues to grow," says Hexagon Hospitality cofounder Wade Vandegrift.

Hexagon Hospitality is a New York–based investment firm focused on best-in class emerging fast-casual restaurant concepts in large urban markets. Concepts it has partnered with include Gregorys Coffee, a Manhattan-based coffee retailer, and b.good, a Boston-based fast-casual concept. Kahn and Vandegrift are also investors in The Juice Shop, a Manhattan concept focused on cold-pressed juices, made-to-order smoothies, and a variety of chef-inspired quinoa and kale-based lunch bowls.
