Huddle House, a 400+ unit family dining restaurant, announces the opening of its ninth unit in the state of Texas. The new location in Tye, Texas is the fourth location of a 20-unit Market Area Development agreement with The Kent Companies to expand Huddle House in different markets throughout Texas. The Kent Companies is a holding group of six different brands, including Huddle House, Baskin-Robbins, Avis Lube, and Kent Kwik.

“We are very excited about our growing partnership with the Huddle House brand, as the new opening in Tye will continue to strengthen The Kent Companies’ portfolio,” says Alan Brinker, director of operations for The Kent Companies. “Additionally, with other The Kent Companies’ concepts surrounding Tye, we have been able to develop close ties with the local community.”

Huddle House’s innovation in tough economic times has continued to support the brand’s growth. A new restaurant design, which is being adopted by existing locations through a re-imaging program, is delivering sales increases of up to 35 percent. Newly-released limited time menu items, including Scrambles, Stuffed Hash Browns, and the Steak House Favorites, have also contributed to the success and popularity of the brand. In fact, in 2012, Huddle House achieved its third consecutive year with same-store sales increases, as the brand continued to consistently outperform other restaurants in the family dining segment over the past three years.

“We’re looking forward to continuing the strong momentum we’ve built over the past three years,” says Michael Abt, the Huddle House's newly appointed CEO. “This success is indicative of our customers’ acceptance and excitement surrounding our expanded menu offerings, our new, refreshed look, and more inviting atmosphere.”
