Today, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s will help satisfy morning munchies with a new breakfast item: the Mile High Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, now available at both chains. The new breakfast item features a hefty serving of premium, thick-cut Applewood-smoked bacon pieces piled sky high on top of a freshly baked Made from Scratch Biscuit, along with a fluffy folded egg and melting American cheese.
“When we introduced the Mile High Bacon Cheese Thickburger last fall, our guests loved the taste of the thick-cut, Applewood-smoked bacon pieces that we piled on top of that burger,” says Brad Haley, chief marketing officer of Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. “It wasn’t much of a leap to realize that a lot of thick-cut, Applewood-smoked bacon would taste great at breakfast too, so we created the new Mile High Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. In fact, we put the same amount of Applewood-smoked bacon on the biscuit that we put on the burger—and it was a lot of bacon for a big burger—so, as you can imagine, even the most rabid bacon-lovers won’t be disappointed when they order the Mile High Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit from their neighborhood Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s restaurant.”
Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s bake their biscuits fresh every morning. Dedicated biscuit makers arrive in the early-morning hours to prepare and roll the buttermilk biscuit dough by hand, and bake the biscuits to their signature texture and golden-brown color. Beginning April 27, visit guests can go online to watch the process in action in an actual restaurant and download a coupon for a buy-one-get-one-free Mile High Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, valid at participating restaurants.
The new Mile High Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit is available for $2.99 and may also be ordered in a combo meal with Hash Browns and a drink for $4.69. Prices may vary by location.
