Jack in the Box Donates $325K to Big Brothers Big Sisters
The Jack in the Box Foundation announced a $325,000 donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters, its primary charitable partner since 1998.
Monies for the donation were raised during the 23rd annual Jack in the Box Charity Golf Tournament, which was held April 26 in Indian Wells, California.
More than 350 Jack in the Box restaurant franchisees, employees, and vendors attended the event at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. Proceeds, including monies raised during silent and live auctions, will support a variety of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ programs, including military mentoring programs in Jack in the Box restaurant communities.
“This is a great event that annually raises a lot of money for charity,” says Brian Luscomb, president of The Jack in the Box Foundation. “Big Brothers Big Sisters has been the beneficiary for the past 14 years, and in that time the event has raised more than $3 million for that organization.
“A significant portion of our donation helps Big Brothers Big Sisters provide mentors to children from military families with deployable parents,” he adds. “This is a program we’re especially proud to support. Many thanks to our franchise community, employees, and vendors for their tremendous support, and to our team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this year’s event so successful.”
