Email this storyRead More About
Today, Jack in the Box restaurants will introduce the Southwest Chicken Pita, a sandwich that features fajita-style chicken and onions topped with black beans and roasted corn stuffed in a pita with a fire-roasted salsa served on the side. It contains 260 calories and 4.5 grams of fat.
"When consumers think of foods that are low in fat and calories, they often think of something bland and boring," Michelle Vespa, marketing manager for Jack in the Box, said in a statement. "But our Southwest Chicken Pita offers a spicy, fresh taste that can satisfy our guests' hunger for a more nutritious meal as well as their desire for bolder flavors."
The sandwich sells for a suggested price of $3.49 at participating Jack in the Box locations, said the company.
