Jake’s Wayback Burgers, a burger joint with 31 open locations, today announces that it will open five new franchises in August and has thirteen under construction. Jake’s Wayback Burgers is rapidly expanding, with more than 100 franchises to be sold by 2011.

Jake’s Wayback Burgers opening in August:

  • Wayne, Pennsylvania: opened August 18
  • Long Beach, New York: opening August 27
  • Rehoboth Beach, Delaware: opening August 27
  • East Meadow, New York: opening August 29
  • Wadsworth, Ohio: opening August 29

The following locations of Jake’s Wayback Burgers are under construction: Hamden, Connecticut; Stamford, Connecticut; West Hartford, Connecticut; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Matamoras, Pennsylvania; Philadelphia; Schnecksville, Pennsylvania; Thorndale, Pennsylvania; West Chester, Pennsylvania; Annapolis, Maryland; Newark, Delaware; Hartsdale, New York; and Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“Jake’s Wayback Burgers is growing very quickly,” says Bill Chemero, executive vice president, Jake’s Franchising, LLC. “We are now in 14 states and 82 stores have been sold, with many more under construction. The national expansion is well under way, with several stores opening soon on the West Coast.”

Formerly Jake’s Hamburgers, Jake’s Wayback Burgers changed its brand name in August 2010. This was a major rebranding and identity change for the rapidly expanding restaurant chain that burger lovers have recognized for almost two decades.
