Jason’s Deli Chooses Cybera ONE Security Platform

Cybera, Inc. today announced Jason’s Deli has selected the Cybera ONE security services to prevent customer information theft from rogue wireless networks. Cybera ONE’s rogue wireless detection service provides Jason’s Deli with a cost-effective and easy-to-deploy solution that exceeds Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) rogue access point scanning requirements.

Jason’s Deli is a fast casual deli restaurant with more than 225 locations across the United States. It was recently named “The Best Restaurant in America” by Parents Magazine. When the guidelines for PCI-DSS compliance expanded to include quarterly scanning for rogue access points, Jason’s turned to Accuvant, a leading security reseller and Cybera partner, to develop a solution that met its requirements. Accuvant recommended the Cybera ONE solution to provide always-on logging, analysis, and alerting of wireless communications and threats in and around each Jason’s Deli location.

“When evaluating security solutions, we wanted to work with a partner that would take the time to understand our unique challenges and could leverage their previous experience with other fast casual restaurants,” says Brett Yarbro, director of IT support and infrastructure services for Jason’s Deli. “With its cloud-based service architecture, Cybera ONE was the only plug and play solution available, yet offered extensibility to provide many other security services as needed.”

Cybera’s rogue wireless detection service, a component of the cloud-based Cybera ONE security services platform, eliminates the costly and complex overhead of competitive wireless security solutions. Cybera’s solution includes a simple scanning appliance for each store location that scans for all wireless access points and clients within radio range. The scanner covers both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands and covers the 802.11 a/b/g/n protocols. Scan results, standardized reporting, and threat alerting are available through an online portal. Wireless IDS is a key component offered as part of the Cybera ONE platform, which delivers all the network security services needed for a remote business location. Other service options include managed firewall, virtual private network and security information, and event management, delivered in a single cloud-based solution.

“Nobody understands network and wireless security in the restaurant industry like Cybera, and our continued success in developing cost-effective and simple to deploy security services for customers such as Jason’s Deli is further proof of this leadership,” says Dan Glennon, senior vice president of marketing and strategy at Cybera. “Our cloud-based platform has the flexibility to provide the specific services to meet Jason’s Deli’s security and compliance needs both today and tomorrow.”
