Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh-sliced and fresh-grilled East Coast–style subs, has kicked off the New Year with the opening of its first-ever airport locations.

The first restaurant opened at McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas on January 7, with the second following the next week on January 17 at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

Both sub shops are operated by The Grove, Inc. (TGI). In November, TGI opened its first Jersey Mike’s in Amtrak’s historic 30th Street Station in downtown Philadelphia.

“We are flying high with the opening of our first-ever Jersey Mike’s airport locations, especially at Newark Liberty International, our hometown airport,” says Hoyt Jones, president, Jersey Mike’s Subs, based in Manasquan, New Jersey. “We are grateful to our partners at TGI, who share our passions for the Jersey Mike’s brand and are committed to providing travelers from around the world with an authentic taste of the Jersey shore.”

Jersey Mike’s is located in the food court in the newly revamped Southwest Airlines Terminal at McCarran, and in the Terminal A Food Court, pre-security, at Newark Airport.

“Our customers have been anticipating these openings,” says Michelle Dukler, president and CEO of TGI. “East or West Coast, Jersey Mike’s Subs is a perfect fit for our concession locations. We have celebrated three openings with Jersey Mike’s in the last three months and are excited for the next.”

The Newark Airport restaurant employs approximately 17 team members, and the Las Vegas location employs approximately 20.
