Juice It Up!, a leading raw juice bar and hand-crafted smoothie franchise, teamed up with customers to support the 33rd annual Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Shamrock program, raising $15,000 to benefit the MDA. Since becoming involved, Juice It Up! has raised over $26,000 for the organization.

For the past two years, Juice It Up! has supported the MDA’s efforts in raising funds to provide life-enhancing programs including support groups, clinics, and the yearly MDA summer camp, that help thousands of people in the local communities who are battling  muscle disease. This year, more than 70 Juice It Up! locations participated in a month-long MDA Shamrock program, promoting shamrock donations to guests, with 100 percent of the contributions going directly to the organization. These Shamrocks were signed and displayed in stores to bring much-needed awareness to the cause.

“Yet again, we are inspired by our employee and customer involvement and their enthusiasm to support such a worthy cause as the MDA,” says Rachel Turney, director of marketing for Juice It Up! “We are proud of our franchisees who jumped at the opportunity to participate and thank our customers for their contributions. Juice It Up! is pleased to have played a role in supporting families affected by muscular dystrophy and other related life-threatening diseases.”

Juice It Up! and the MDA will hold a check presentation on Friday, April 10 at 10 a.m. at Juice It Up!’s headquarters in Irvine, California.  Attendees will include representatives from Juice It Up!’s top performing locations in the Shamrock program as well as MDA families.
