Industry veteran Timothy Lane moved from longstanding board member of Kitchen Brains and assumed the role of CEO of Kitchen Brains.

"As a board member, I’ve been actively involved in the business for many years," Lane says. "There is a lot of excitement around the progress the company has made and its great prospects. Hence, I was eager to become more fully involved in leading its future growth."

Lane is well known for his accomplishments during his nearly 20-year career at PepsiCo., including serving as CEO of PepsiCo Restaurants International (PRI) for Asia and the Middle East (KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell).

He led the dramatic expansion of PRI throughout the region, including the introduction of KFC into China, where it has held its leading market position for many years.

This China/Asia growth platform continues to be a key driver of what is presently known as YUM! Brands.

Earlier in his PepsiCo career, he served as CFO, KFC Worldwide; CFO, Pepsi International; and CFO, Frito Lay International.

Kitchen Brains also announced the opening of Kitchen Brains Pte. Ltd. in Singapore and the promotion of River Zhang, who will head the new office, to vice president.

"We have recognized explosive growth in the region since opening our Customer Support Center in Shanghai in 2003," Zhang says. "Our global chain clients and region OEM partners are very excited about our new capabilities in Singapore."
