Kneaders Bakery and Café named Kelly Conroy as the company’s new director of marketing.

“Kelly brings a wealth of restaurant industry experience to us,” says James Worthington, CEO of Kneaders Bakery and Café. “We are very happy to welcome him to the Kneaders team.”

Conroy has over 15 years of experience in marketing and advertising having worked for agencies and clients, large and small. In his most recent position, he managed the advertising for over 2,000 Subway restaurants locations across the country. His main focus with Subway was to bring the brand down to a local level, to make Subway a valuable part of the local community. He says that he hopes to do the same with Kneaders.

“I am very excited to be a part of the Kneaders family,” Conroy says. “As Kneaders continues to grow, I look forward to telling the company’s story in new and exciting ways.”

Conroy says he likes to focus on what works on a market-wide basis as well as the neighborhood level. Besides working with Subway, he has also worked with other franchised brands like Bajio Mexican Grill, Wienerschnitzel, and Aarons Furniture. He has developed a keen insight into what franchisees need to be successful. He is very interested in operations and how marketing can tie into Kneaders’ outstanding products.

Since opening its first location in 1997, Kneaders Bakery and Café has expanded to 27 locations across four states and the company recently broke ground on its first location in Texas.
