IRVINE, Calif.,–April 29, 2002– Koo Koo Roo, Inc. a subsidiary of Prandium, Inc. (PDIM), announced today that it is adding to the success of its signature Chargrilled Chicken Bowls. Three new chicken bowls— the “Chicken Tostada Bowl,” “Spicy Ginger Garlic Chicken Bowl,” and “Firecracker Chicken Bowl—-have been added to the Koo Koo Roo menu.

The three new bowls join the “Southwestern Chicken Bowl” and the original “Chargrilled Chicken Chop” as part of the Chargrilled Chicken Bowl line introduced in 1999 and targeted at the fast-casual and take-out segment. All five chicken bowls feature skinless grilled chicken breast meat and fresh ingredients.

“If you crave some serious flavor, our new Koo Koo Roo bowls have got a bang,” commented Nate TenHuisen, Koo Koo Roo’s new marketing vice president. “The popularity of the original Chicken Chop bowls with our guests has continued to push this category to new highs for us. Our guests have told us that they are looking for new and distinctive flavors. My personal favorite is the Spicy Ginger Garlic Chicken Bowl.”

Paul Frank, executive vice president of operations for Koo Koo Roo added, “We are delighted with the fact that our guests have propelled our original “Chargrilled Chicken Chop” bowls to such successful levels for us.

“If the success of our original “Chargrilled Chicken Chop” is any indication of customer trends, we’ll have a winning combination with these bowls,” concluded TenHuisen.
