Koo Koo Roo, Inc., a subsidiary of Prandium, Inc. announced February 2, 2000 the opening of its 44th Koo Koo Roo restaurant, the first of the new year.

“This new restaurant is the first to incorporate the new design our team has been developing over the past year,” president Gayle A. DeBrosse said. “We believe the decreased design and construction costs associated with this prototype will enhance our ability to achieve the financial goals we have established for this year and beyond. Our expectations are that the labor efficiencies we have designed into the new layout will allow us to both grow the concept and achieve sustainable operational profits.”

Adjacent to Warner Bros. Studios, The Disney Studio, and Universal Studios, the restaurant is expected to serve commuters with take out orders, guests who dine in, and numerous existing customers in the area who use Koo Koo Roo’s catering service.

Renowned for its proprietary Original Skinless Flame Broiled Chicken¨, Koo Koo Roo delivers a tasty alternative within the casual dining and take-home meal replacement market. Other menu selections include Koo Koo Roo’s savory country herb and garlic rotisserie chicken, fresh roasted hand-carved turkey, hearty soups, crisp garden salads, sandwiches and a cornucopia of delicious, freshly prepared side dishes.

The Koo Koo Roo restaurant concept began in 1988 and now has grown to 44 restaurants.
