Krispy Kreme Invades Dunkin' Territory
Email this storyRead More About
The store will be approximately 4,500 square feet and employ a team of approximately 200 employees. It will include drive-thru service, "significant" space for customer seating, a glass viewing area for doughnut-watching, and the well-known "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign.
The opening is important on one level because this is doughnut-darling Krispy Kreme's first free-standing unit in Dunkin' Donuts' home territory. However, sources at Dunkin' say because of their concept's deep ties to New England, they aren't worried and that Dunkin' is more concerned with coffee competitors like Starbucks and 7-11 than Krispy Kreme.
