La Madeleine Country French Café will open the doors to its 15th Houston-area café with a new location in Parkway Village.

Dallas-based la Madeleine specializes in preparing authentic country French cuisine including a variety of fresh-baked artisan breads, pastries and desserts, as well as signature salades, sandwiches and soupes, including its famous Caesar Salade, Croque Monsieur, and Tomato Basil Soupe.

“We’re proud to expand our presence in Houston and are delighted to have the opportunity to serve more residents with our new Parkway Village café,” says John Cahill, chief operating officer at la Madeleine. “It is wonderful to be so warmly received by this vibrant community that continues to embrace our authentic country French cuisine.”

The new location’s design celebrates la Madeleine’s 30th anniversary with an updated look uniting la Madeleine’s heritage and familiar comfortable French atmosphere. The new interior takes the cozy features la Madeleine is known for – wood floors, stone fireplaces, and rustic beams – and combines them with a fresh, lighter color palette, unique seating choices, and updated artwork. The décor also includes a nod to la Madeleine's legacy, showcasing photographs of la Madeleine’s most memorable moments.

In 1983, French native Patrick Esquerré opened the first la Madeleine café in Dallas to provide guests the ability to “step into the French countryside – where the love of fresh food is celebrated, and everyday eating remains one of the simple pleasures of life.” Inspired by his mother Monique’s cooking, Patrick insisted on maintaining the integrity of French cuisine by using fresh ingredients and recipes that have been passed from one generation to the next.

The Parkway Village café, located at 1560 Eldridge Parkway, will welcome patrons to experience la Madeleine’s country French cuisine and warm ambiance daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
