Liquid Nutrition Group Inc. announced the appointments of David Bellisario to chief operating officer (COO) and Greg Chamandy to executive chairman, effective immediately.

In the role of COO, Bellisario brings a lifetime of retail expertise. His most notable successes were running the family-owned chain of 45 gift stores called The Keyman before it was sold in 2012 to Things Remembered, and founding Teaopia, a premier loose-leaf tea retailer that grew to 48 locations before he sold the enterprise in June 2012 to Teavana (subsequently sold to Starbucks). Bellisario will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s retail operations, including the leasing, merchandising, design, building, and administration of the Liquid Nutrition stores.

Bellisario coming on board as COO means that president and CEO Glenn Young will now focus on developing Liquid Nutrition’s brand potential and growth strategy through both franchise sales and licensed products.

Both Bellisario and Young will report to Greg Chamandy. Chamandy's role with the company will be expanding from chairman to executive chairman.

“We are extremely pleased to have attracted David Bellisario, a leading retail and franchise expert, to be a part of Liquid Nutrition’s leadership team. We are in the process of building a world class management structure to support the rapid growth of Liquid Nutrition, and to ensure that we maximize the value of Liquid Nutrition for our shareholders,” Chamandy says.
