Little Greek Restaurant is making a name for itself as an emerging concept in the restaurant industry. In January, development plans were announced for 2013 openings, including opening six franchised locations in new markets, including Austin, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky; and Little Rock, Arkansas. Little Greek is also developing a new prototype with the projected opening of a New Tampa location in late April. In addition, Little Greek Restaurant is advancing into the retail industry with making its signature products available for purchase.

“It’s a perfect fit for our customers,” says Nick Vojnovic, past president of Beef ‘O’ Brady’s. Nick formed a partnership with Founder Sigrid Bratic in April 2011, becoming president of Little Greek Franchise Development LLC. “Little Greek’s House Dressing has been available for purchase and our customers love it. I think providing our customers with more items to bring home will be well received,” said Vojnovic.

Starting with kalamata olives and pepperoncini peppers, Little Greek collaborated with Greek Boys Choice Foods out of Tarpon Springs, Florida, in 2012, to develop a unique product. Little Greek’s Grecian Garlic Hot Sauce is only available at Little Greek Restaurant locations.

“Greek Boys is authentic,” Vojnovic adds. “They purchase all of their products straight from Greece. [The year] 2013 is not only about reaching store opening goals; we wanted to roll out a new product. Together, Greek Boys’ John Varvaresos, Jr., and I established Little Greek’s Grecian Garlic Hot Sauce, a unique product available for purchase at any Little Greek Restaurant.”

Little Greek emphasizes Greek dishes created from generations of traditional family recipes.
