The Manitowoc Company, Inc., parent company of Manitowoc Foodservice, has been ranked in BusinessWeek magazine’s 2009 BusinessWeek 50 Report as one of its top “best corporate performers.”

Companies were selected from the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index and reviewed based on two key indicators—sales growth rate and return on invested capital. To reward sustained performance, all companies are measured over a three-year period and are then compared against their peers in the same business sector. The Manitowoc Company placed 37th overall.

“The Top 50 List identifies companies that we would expect to do well and also have the ability to do well in all sorts of economic conditions,” says Michael Mandel, chief economist for BusinessWeek magazine.
