Marco’s Pizza opened its second store in the Austin, Texas, area on March 29. Marco’s area representative Paul Hollabaugh, an Austin resident with an extensive franchising background, plans to develop a total of 30 locations in the region over the next five years. Locations include the Texas cities of Austin, Bryan, College Station, Georgetown, Killeen, San Marcos, Temple, and Waco.

The new Marco’s Pizza store is located at 2800 South Bagdad Road in Leander. Austin residents David and Deanna John own and operate the store.

“We are eager to introduce Leander to Marco’s fresh, high-quality pizza,” David John says. “Marco’s Pizza makes fresh dough daily and uses a proprietary sauce recipe and a blend of three fresh cheeses. Leander customers are sure to enjoy it.”

John’s is the second Marco’s Pizza store to open in the Austin area. Hollabaugh’s Cedar Park location opened in February. There are a total of three Marco’s Pizza stores in the state of Texas.

“Marco’s Pizza has seen a strong, positive response from Texas and a demand for high-quality pizza at a fair price,” says Jack Butorac, Marco’s president and CEO. “Marco’s is expanding quickly throughout the country and our development in the Austin and Waco areas is evidence of that. We are thrilled about Marco’s future in Texas.”
